Bankstown Airport Building F1 — Refurbishment and Fitout

Bankstown Airport’s heritage-listed industrial complex presented a distinctive challenge, how to breathe new life into a collection of existing buildings while respecting their history and delivering for a diverse mix of future uses. Forge coordinated works across five buildings as part of a precinct-wide upgrade, supporting the staged transformation of the site into a mixed-use entertainment destination.

Within that broader programme, Building F1 underwent significant refurbishment to accommodate a new sporting tenant. The warehouse was reconfigured to house 14 badminton courts and associated facilities, a change of use that required a full roof replacement and a bold internal repaint designed to optimise play conditions and visibility. The adjoining two-storey office building was fully refurbished in parallel, with new amenities and a major electrical services upgrade delivered to support the transition.

The works at Building F1 are part of a longer-term strategy to reposition the Bankstown Airport Industrial Precinct — adapting existing warehouse and office assets to meet the evolving needs of tenants and the surrounding community, one building at a time.
