Prior to recent refurbishment works Toronto Woolworths located in the hunter region was last refurbished in the early 90’s. The outdated 3,800m2 supermarket undertook major refurbishment works to incorporate latest concepts and design schemes.
The refurbishment works to both the store and back of house areas was required to be undertaken during store trading conditions under strict WH&S guidelines. This was achieved through staging plans and ongoing liaisons with centre/store/regional management.
Works included updated and relocated deli, meat, bakery, seafood and produce sections. Construction works were completed in line with management to ensure the closure of particular specialty sections did not compromise store turnover and targets were maintained.
Existing mechanical/hydraulic/fire & electrical services were upgraded with minimal down time to ensure food code requirements were adhered to and to minimise loss of stock and store disturbance.
