Located in Ryde, Sydney the Clermont Aged Care project included the creation of a new 60 bed Aged Care facility, including a dementia ward, hairdresser, cafe and 20 Independent living units.
With an existing operational facility, critical planning was required to ensure operation of the business would be maintained throughout the construction. This was achieved through a considered staging plan for construction of the new facility and demolition of the existing facility.
Additional challenges included the development being surrounding by residential houses. All major services are incorporated in the basement carpark, which also was designed to allow service/supplier vehicles to enter and exist the basement, as well as staff and retirement living residents.
Forge were engaged to manage this project with the role including consultant procurement, design management, obtaining development approval and construction.
