In 2009 Fabcot acquired the old Griffith Bowling Club greens to develop a new Woolworths Supermarket located in the Riverina region. This Woolworths supermarket located in Griffith was to adopt the latest Woolworth’s ‘Project Lantern’ scheme to provide shoppers with a greater interactive and engaging point of purchase with a fresh, clean and inviting look. The development consisted of a new 5,500m² standalone precast concrete store with surrounding civil works in conjunction with an onsite carpark detention pit designed to facilitate stormwater run off and the local flood plain requirements. The scope of works include design management and procurement, obtaining all relevant authority approvals, management of heritage and planning consultants, management and procurement of head contractor, fire / mechanical / refrigeration / hydraulics / HV Electrical / Electrical consultants, head contract management and commissioning phases.
